You Must Have Clicked on this Ad by Mistake! Data-Driven Identification of Accidental Clicks on Mobile Ads with Applications to Advertiser Cost Discounting and Click-Through Rate Prediction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In the cost per click (CPC) pricing model, an advertiser pays an ad network only when a user clicks on an ad; in turn, the ad network gives a share of that revenue to the publisher where the ad was impressed. Still, advertisers may be unsatisfied with ad networks charging them for "valueless" clicks, or so-called accidental clicks.

Biohybrid Vascular Graft Made of Textile‐Reinforced Elastin‐Like Recombinamers and Its Preservation via Drying Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Clinical translation of biohybrid medical implants requires the previous implementation of drying schemes that can facilitate their sterilization and storage. This study addresses that critical aspect and elucidates the impact of drying on biohybrid vascular grafts, highlighting the need for implant‐specific drying strategies to ensure safety ...

Fluorophore-Assisted Click Chemistry through Copper(I) Complexation

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2020
The copper-catalyzed alkyne-azide cycloaddition (CuAAC) is one of the most powerful chemical strategies for selective fluorescent labeling of biomolecules in in vitro or biological systems. In order to accelerate the ligation process and ensure efficient

Submicrometric Films of Surface-Attached Polymer Network with Temperature-Responsive Properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Temperature-responsive properties of surface-attached poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) network films with well-controlled chemistry are investigated. The synthesis consists of cross-linking and grafting preformed ene-reactive polymer chains through thiol--ene click chemistry.

Rational Design of Unsaturated, Thioether Ionizable Lipids for Enhanced In Vivo mRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) have rapidly become the delivery system of choice for RNA therapeutics. Here, a rational design approach is taken to improve the effectiveness of LNPs based on an ionizable thioether lipid library. The incorporation of unsaturated tails and bulkier, hydrophobic head groups significantly enhances their functionality and ...

Visible and selective gel assembly via covalent click chemistry

open access: yesSmartMat
This study marks the birth of visible and selective click covalent assembly. It is achieved by amplifying orthogonal alkyne−azide click chemistry through interfacial multisite interactions between azide/alkyne functionalized polymer hydrogels ...

Immunosuppressive Cytokine‐Tethered Hydrogel for Treating Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An injectable hydrogel is developed by chemically tethering IL‐4, an immunosuppressive cytokine, to a hyaluronic acid‐based backbone. The hydrogel reduces joint friction and exerts immunomodulatory effects. In a rheumatoid arthritis (RA) mouse model, it reduced inflammation, preserved cartilage, and promoted anti‐inflammatory immune responses.

Layer-by-layer deposition of functional click polymers for microarray applications

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2019
Bioprobes immobilization methods that elevate the probes from the substrate are generally preferred in microarray technology because they prevent steric limitations during the hybridization of the target to probes.
