Aβ42 promotes the aggregation of α‐synuclein splice isoforms via heterogeneous nucleation
The aggregation of amyloid‐β (Aβ) and α‐synuclein (αSyn) is associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. This study reveals that Aβ aggregates serve as potent nucleation sites for the aggregation of αSyn and its splice isoforms, shedding light on the intricate interplay between these two pathogenic proteins.

A telehealth approach to improving clinical trial access for infants with tuberous sclerosis complex. [PDF]
BackgroundResearch in rare genetic syndromes associated with ASD is often hampered by the wide geographic distribution of families and the presence of medical comorbidities, such as epilepsy, that may preclude travel to clinical sites.

In this work, we reveal how different enzyme binding configurations influence the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in live cells using time‐resolved anisotropy imaging and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM). Mathematical modelling shows that the redox states of the NAD and NADP pools govern these configurations, shaping their fluorescence ...

Guidelines for analysis and reporting of clinical trials in oncology. [PDF]
When analyzing and reporting the results of clinical trials, investigators should follow a simple approach. The purpose of a trial is to estimate an effect or treatment difference, which if present would have clinical utility when treating new patients ...

The yeast mitoribosome assembly factor Rsm22 contains a [4Fe‐4S] cluster that is matured by the mitochondrial iron–sulfur cluster assembly (ISC) machinery. Defects in ISC components result in impaired mitochondrial protein synthesis due to a mitoribosome assembly defect.
