Ampelographic evaluation of clone candidates of grapevine variety Graševina bijela (Vitis vinifera L.) in the vineyards of Zagreb

open access: yesGlasnik Zaštite Bilja, 2021
Graševina bijela is the most represented and economically most important grapevine variety in the Republic of Croatia. It’s mostly grown in viticultural regions of continental Croatia.

Promising white poplar (Populus alba L.) clones in sandy ridges between the rivers Danube and Tisza in Hungary

open access: yesInternational Journal of Horticultural Science, 2008
White poplar is a native stand-forming tree species in Hungary, covering 3.1 per cent of the forested area. More than 70 per cent of the white poplar stands can be found on calcareous sandy sites in the Danube—Tisza region, so they play a significant ...

Temperature and inoculation method influence disease phenotypes and mortality of Eucalyptus marginata clonal lines inoculated with Phytophthora cinnamomi [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Survival of 1-year-old plants of three clonal lines of Eucalyptus marginata (jarrah), two ranked as resistant (RR1 and RR2) and one as susceptible (SS1) to Phytophthora cinnamomi, was assessed after pathogen inoculation with either mycelial mats ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Computational strategies for dissecting the high-dimensional complexity of adaptive immune repertoires

open access: yes, 2017
The adaptive immune system recognizes antigens via an immense array of antigen-binding antibodies and T-cell receptors, the immune repertoire. The interrogation of immune repertoires is of high relevance for understanding the adaptive immune response in ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Computer Simulation of Multi-Color Brainbow Staining and Clonal Evolution of B Cells in Germinal Centers

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
Clonal evolution of B cells in germinal centers (GCs) is central to affinity maturation of antibodies in response to pathogens. Permanent or tamoxifen-induced multi-color recombination of B cells based on the brainbow allele allows monitoring the degree ...

Gene rearrangements in human T-cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
One of the most basal requirements of the immune system is that it must be capable of specifically recognizing and responding to foreign antigens, while remaining indifferent to self-components.
