Damage Clustering and Damage-Size Distributions After Megasonic Cleaning

ECS Transactions, 2007
In this work the damage added on gate stack features after batch megasonic cleaning is identified and classified by SEM review. To understand if damaging is a random or a clustered process, damage clustering distributions are compared with a theoretical random distribution of damage sites.

Damage spreading on networks: Clustering effects

Pramana, 2007
The damage spreading of the Ising model on three kinds of networks is studied with Glauber dynamics. One of the networks is generated by evolving the hexagonal lattice with the star-triangle transformation. Another kind of network is constructed by connecting the midpoints of the edges of the topological hexagonal lattice.

Damage control with cluster ion implantation

2013 13th International Workshop on Junction Technology (IWJT), 2013
Ion implantation is doping process for manufacturing semiconductor. Doping process contains not only implanting doping atoms at a controlled depth profile but also making damages caused by collisions between ions and silicon crystal atoms, knock-on silicon atoms and silicon crystal atoms.

Clustered Carbon Nanotubes Damage Endoplasmic Reticulum

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have garnered significant attention in recent years due to their unique properties and their wide-range applicability. However, alongside these promising applications, concerns regarding the potential toxicity of CNTs have emerged. In this context, through this work, we have attempted to explore the nanotoxic effect of CNTs over

Structural damage detection by fuzzy clustering

Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 2008
The development of strategies for structural health monitoring (SHM) has become increasingly important because of the necessity of preventing undesirable damage. This paper describes an approach to this problem using vibration data. It involves a three-stage process: reduction of the time-series data using principle component analysis (PCA), the ...

Analysis of damage clusters in fracture processes

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1999
We present numerical simulations of two-dimensional models of electric breakdown and fracture in disordered systems subject to an increasing external stress. We provide a geometrical characterization of the damage by studying the scaling behavior of connected bonds clusters.

Familial clustering of hypertensive target organ damage in the community

Journal of Hypertension, 2018
Prior studies suggest that hypertensive target organ damage (TOD) is a heritable trait. However, the risk that parental TOD confers on propensity for TOD in their offspring, and how hypertensive TOD clusters in the context of parental versus offspring hypertension status remain unclear. We studied 3238 Framingham Heart Study participants (mean age 39 ...

Clusters, plasticity and damage: a missing link?

Materials Science and Engineering: A, 1994
Abstract The properties of polyphase materials cannot always be described by average values characterizing the distribution of the second phase in the matrix. The internal stresses, the recrystallization behaviour in composites and the fracture mechanisms all depend on the distribution of the particles in space.

Clustering for Road Damage Locations Obtained by Smartphone Accelerometers

Proceedings of the Second International Conference on IoT in Urban Space, 2016
Crowdsensing has been widely investigated and its applications are being explored. We have used accelerometers embedded in the smartphone carried by bicycle users to detect road surface damages. However, detected damages locations are not aggregated and often, the same road surface damage can be detected several times at different locations due to ...
