Memristor-CNTFET based ternary logic gates
Microelectronics Journal, 2018Abstract Multilevel electronic systems offer the reduction of implementation’ complexity, power consumption, and area. Ternary system is a very promising system where more information is represented in the same number of digits compared to the binary systems.

CNTFET-Based Design of Ternary Arithmetic Modules
Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 2019Multiple-valued logic such as ternary logic has attracted the digital system designers attention in recent years as it offers the benefits of reduced interconnects, higher operating speeds and smaller chip area. A goal of multi-threshold circuit design could be easily achieved by incorporating the scalable threshold voltage values of carbon nanotube ...

High Performance Ternary Multiplier Using CNTFET
2018 IEEE Computer Society Annual Symposium on VLSI (ISVLSI), 2018Ternary logic is a promising alternative to the conventional binary logic in VLSI design as it provides the advantages of reduced interconnects, higher operating speeds and smaller chip area. This work presents a ternary multiplier using carbon nanotube field effect transistors (CNTFETs).

A CNTFET Oscillator at 461 MHz
IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2017This letter presents design, implementation, and characterization of the first reported carbon nanotube field-effect transistor (CNTFET) RF oscillator. The circuit is implemented with discrete CNTFETs mounted on standard FR-4 substrate with off-the-shelf surface-mount-device components. The oscillator topology is similar to the phase shifter oscillator

Low noise high frequency CNTFET amplifier
2013 8th International Conference on Design & Technology of Integrated Systems in Nanoscale Era (DTIS), 2013This paper focuses on performance challenges related to Mos-based systems operating on high frequency ranges. One solution for this issue is to use carbon nanotube transistor (CNTFET) because of their promising performances. Therefore, to improve the device performance at high frequency ranges, designers must reduce the parasitic capacitances by using ...

CNTFETs: modelling and circuit design
2019In this book chapter, a brief introduction is provided to CNTs, its material science, modelling, simulation and circuit application. CNTs are explored from electronic properties as the nature of conduction, i.e., metallic and semiconducting. Chirality is explained, which is responsible for basic parameters calculations like diameter and bandgap ...

CNTFET electronics : design principles
2017Carbon NanoTubes (CNTs) are one of the most promising materials for future electronics. Among their possible applications, CNTFETs (Carbon NanoTube Field-Effect Transistors) are the most interesting since they are expected to sustain the transistor scalability, increasing performances of classical silicon-based devices as well.

Design of A/D Circuits with CNTFETs
2017In this chapter we use our compact semi-empirical CNTFET model, examined in the previous chapters, to design some electronic circuits. In particular we investigate about the effects of the CNT quantum resistances and inductances, then demonstrating their role for both analog and digital applications at frequencies over about ten THz.
