Nondestructive Testing of Welded Composite Metal Foams
X‐ray computed tomography (CT) is used to evaluate welded steel–steel composite metal foam (CMF) joints of two density classes. It reports variation in postweld spatial void distribution and correlates it to weld‐induced changes, mechanical performance, and failure within welded CMF panels.

A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

Size effect on the coalescence-induced self-propelled droplet
An analysis based on the energy conservation is presented for the self-propelled droplet during coalescence of two droplets of the same size over a superhydrophobic rough surface.

Influence of inevitable hydrogen evolution reaction on morphology of electrodeposited zinc
Influence of parallel hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) on morphology of zinc electrodeposits has been investigated. Zn was electrodeposited potentiostatically from the alkaline electrolyte at overpotentials both inside and outside the plateau of the ...

Aluminum and nitride coatings are used in industry because they are hard, resist wear, and protect against oxidation. Adding boron can improve friction behavior and other properties. This study tests coatings on surfaces with different finishes. Results show smoother surfaces perform better, while rough ones wear faster, although coatings can reduce ...

Fractals and Scaling in Fracture Induced by Microcrack Coalescence
A numerical model is proposed to simulate fracture induced by the coalescence of numerous microcracks, in which the condition for coalescence between two randomly nucleated microcracks is determined in terms of a load-sharing principle.

Unveiling droplet size evolution in aerosol jet printing processing via numerical simulation
Aerosol jet printing (AJP) enables high-resolution deposition, yet the evolution of droplet-size distributions and its impact on print quality remain insufficiently characterised.

Enhancing Bubble Removal in Geometry‐Optimized Electrodes
3D‐printed lattice electrodes outperform stochastic foams in alkaline water electrolysis despite 20%–25% lower surface area. Straight flow channels generate Venturi‐like bubble entrainment, suppressing gas accumulation that renders foam interiors electrochemically inactive.
