Estimation of the restitution coefficient by strain measurement

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
In order to clarify the collision phenomenon of the traffic machine in motion, such as automobile and aircraft, it is necessary to examine not only the deformation and the behavior of composed structural member but also the dynamic characteristic of ...

Evaluation of restitution performance and examination of estimate equation of coefficient of restitution of table tennis racket

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2021
The performance of a table tennis racket is often stipulated using an unique standard for the manufacturer. However, the performance criteria for restitution characteristics still have been unclear due to lack of qualitative evaluation by each ...

Periodic sticking motion in a two-degree of freedom impact oscillator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Periodic sticking motions can occur in vibro-impact systems for certain parameter ranges. When the coefficient of restitution is low (or zero), the range of periodic sticking motions can become large. In this work the dynamics of periodic sticking orbits

Impact of Horse Hoof Wall with Different Solid Surfaces

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
This study aimed to investigate the impact of a horse hoof wall on three solid surfaces: steel, concrete and asphalt. Impact experiments were conducted for different impact angles and different initial impact velocities.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

An Investigation of the Restitution Coefficient Impact on Simulating Sand-Char Mixing in a Bubbling Fluidized Bed

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
In the present work, the effect of the restitution coefficient on the numerical results for a binary mixture system of sand particles and char particles in a bubbling fluidized bed with a huge difference between the particles in terms of density and ...

Coefficient of Restitution for Viscoelastic Spheres: The Effect of Delayed Recovery

open access: yes, 2007
The coefficient of normal restitution of colliding viscoelastic spheres is computed as a function of the material properties and the impact velocity. From simple arguments it becomes clear that in a collision of purely repulsively interacting particles ...

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.
