Nizhnevartovsk Philological BulletinThe article examines the cognitive-pragmatic function of persuasiveness in mediapolitical discourse based on English-language publications covering the Brexit period. The aim of the research is to identify the ways in which media texts are cognitively organized to promote a particular interpretation of Brexit in the perception of the audience.
