Fused hollow cathode cold atmospheric plasma
Applied Physics Letters, 2000A fused hollow cathode (FHC) plasma source is introduced. The system of radio-frequency (rf) generated hollow cathodes with flowing gas forms an integrated electrode source which operates in the pressure range from 1 Torr to atmospheric pressure. The diameter of the source is 3.5 cm. However, the construction perfectly enables further scaling up.

DC-excited cold atmospheric pressure plasmas
Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 2006In view of the increasingly wide range of applications, different approaches are nowadays being investigated to generate non-thermal plasmas operating at atmospheric pressure. In this paper the focus is on DC-excited atmospheric pressure discharges in air. The basic electrode configuration is that of a pin-to-plate corona.

Cold Atmospheric Plasma Deposition of Diamond
Plasma Processes and Polymers, 2007AbstractNanocluster diamonds can be synthesized in open air on stainless steel and molybdenum substrates with a hybrid cold atmospheric plasma source using air plasma and an air + alcohol mixture. At microwave powers below 300 W and at gas flow rates below 300 sccm the temperature of a thermally insulated steel substrate placed 1.5 cm from the hollow ...

The The important role of cold atmospheric plasma in wounds healing: Cold atmospheric plasma
Journal Basic Science and TechnologyCold plasma is the fourth state of matter it can be generated using different types of gases like argon or helium or other gases by applying electrical field to get plasma with a temperature lower than 40degree so it's considered safe to be used in human without affecting the normal body cells.
