Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Surface Characteristics of Observed Cold Pools
Abstract Cold pools are a key element in the organization of precipitating convective systems, yet knowledge of their typical surface characteristics is largely anecdotal. To help to alleviate this situation, cold pools from 39 mesoscale convective system (MCS) events are sampled using Oklahoma Mesonet surface observations.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

The Role of Cold Pools in Modulating Convective Organization During the MJO
In this study, we investigate the role of cold pools in modulating convective organization throughout the Madden‐Julian Oscillation (MJO) life cycle using a modeling approach that combines Eulerian and Lagrangian techniques.

Meteorological Events Affecting Cold-Air Pools in a Small Basin
Meteorological events affecting the evolution of temperature inversions or cold-air pools in the 1-km-diameter, high-altitude (~1300 m MSL) Grünloch basin in the eastern Alps are investigated using data from lines of temperature dataloggers running up ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Convective self‐aggregation, cold pools, and domain size [PDF]
Convective self‐aggregation refers to a phenomenon in cloud‐resolving simulations wherein the atmosphere spontaneously develops a circulation with a convecting moist patch and a nonconvecting dry patch. All previous studies have found a sharp transition to aggregated convection when the domain size exceeds a critical threshold, typically in the range ...

Tropical oceanic mesoscale cold pools in observations and models
Convective cold pools over oceans contribute to the atmosphere-ocean exchange of heat and moisture across the globe. Beyond cold pools’ physical properties, cold pools and their intersections are important mechanisms controlling the life cycle of ...
