3D Soft Hydrogels Induce Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells “Deep” Quiescence
Three‐dimensional soft hydrogels mimicking the bone marrow niche induce deep quiescence in human mesenchymal stem cells. Unlike 2D culture, 3D matrices halt proliferation, regulate cell‐cycle and quiescence markers, and downregulate mTORC1 signaling, preserving stem cell phenotype and therapeutic potential ex vivo.

An injectable cold atmospheric plasma‐activated decellularized tumor extracellular matrix hydrogel is introduced as a post‐surgical immunoactivation platform. The engineered gel attracts residual tumor cells and induces immunogenic cell death, reshaping the tumor microenvironment and eliciting systemic antitumor immunity. In combination with checkpoint

Collagenases and Collagen Degradation.
Degradation of interstitial collagens probably takes place through different enzymatic mechanisms than degradation of basement membrane and pericellular collagens. Interstitial collagens are resorbed under pathological and physiological conditions by collagenases which function extracellularly and cleave polypeptide chains in the collagen triple helix ...
