Distributed adaptive fixed-time formation control for second-order multi-agent systems with collision avoidance

Information Sciences, 2021
In this work, the distributed fixed-time formation control problem for a group of second-order multi-agent systems is investigated with consideration of collision avoidance, external disturbances, and connected undirected topology. As a stepping stone, a

UDE-Based Distributed Formation Control for MSVs With Collision Avoidance and Connectivity Preservation

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics
Limited computational resource is one of the features of the embedded system including unmanned marine surface vehicle (MSV). Under this practical constraint, we aim to develop a distributed formation control algorithm for a group of uncertain MSVs ...

Distributed MPC-Based Robust Collision Avoidance Formation Navigation of Constrained Multiple USVs

IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles
This article is devoted to tackling the robust collision avoidance formation navigation problem for a class of multiple unmanned surface vehicles (multi-USVs), where the USVs are modeled as underactuated nonlinear systems subject to state and input ...

Integrated Steering and Differential Braking for Emergency Collision Avoidance in Autonomous Vehicles

IEEE transactions on intelligent transportation systems (Print), 2021
Controlling the lateral dynamics of an autonomous vehicle confronting a sudden obstacle requires optimal use of tires’ force capacities. In these situations, autonomous steering may not be able to respond fast enough to prevent collision or instability ...

Collision Avoidance for Autonomous Vehicles Based on MPC With Adaptive APF

IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles
In this paper, a model predictive control (MPC) strategy is developed to realize collision avoidance with dynamic obstacle vehicles for an autonomous vehicle. A novel collision constraint based on road width and vehicle shape is proposed to ensure a safe

Output-Feedback Cooperative Formation Maneuvering of Autonomous Surface Vehicles With Connectivity Preservation and Collision Avoidance

IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, 2020
In this paper, a cooperative time-varying formation maneuvering problem with connectivity preservation and collision avoidance is investigated for a fleet of autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) with position–heading measurements.

Satellite Formation-Containment Control Emphasis on Collision Avoidance and Uncertainty Suppression

IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, 2022
This article explores an adaptive robust control scheme for satellite formation-containment flying in a way of constraint following. For safe flight and uncertainty suppression, both collision avoidance and uncertainty suppression are addressed.

Vehicle Collision Avoidance

2020
Road accidents are considered as one of the major reasons of deaths. The proposed vehicle collision avoidance system aims to increase the traffic efficiency and safety. Through the proposed system, the driver can be alerted to the surrounding hazards by communicating with other drivers.

Collision avoidance dynamics for optimal impulsive collision avoidance maneuvers

2017 8th International Conference on Recent Advances in Space Technologies (RAST), 2017
This paper describes a method to calculate the optimal impulsive maneuver to avoid the collisions using Simplified General Perturbation 4 (SGP4) and Two Line Element (TLE). It also presents a rigorous analysis of the method to investigate the relative dynamics of the two colliding space objects assuming the encounter is instantaneous.

Well Collision Avoidance - Separation Rule

SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2017
Abstract The well collision separation rule presented in this paper is a culmination of the work and consensus of industry experts from both operators and service companies in the SPE Wellbore Positioning Technical Section (WPTS). This is the second of two papers and complements the first paper SPE 184730 which described the collision ...
