A method for unmanned vessel autonomous collision avoidance based on model predictive control
Aiming at the problem of autonomous collision avoidance of unmanned vessels in the case of multiple vessels encountering at sea, this paper proposes a method for collision avoidance of vessels in open water based on the Mathematical Model Group (MMG ...

Moment-Sum-Of-Squares Approach For Fast Risk Estimation In Uncertain Environments
In this paper, we address the risk estimation problem where one aims at estimating the probability of violation of safety constraints for a robot in the presence of bounded uncertainties with arbitrary probability distributions.

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Safety distance awareness system for Malaysian Driver [PDF]
It is known that the risk of an accident increases exponentially with the speed of the vehicle and most collisions happen when the driver fails to brake at the required time and distance.

Numerical Modeling of Tank Cars Carrying Hazardous Materials With and Without Composite Metal Foam
Large‐scale puncture models consisting of hazardous materials (HAZMATs) tank car with protective steel–steel composite metal foam (S–S CMF) are solved numerically. Tank car plate with added 10.91–13.33 mm thick S–S CMF layer does not puncture. Protective S–S CMF absorbs impact energy, reduces plate deformation, and prevents shear bands formation ...

Reducing the risk of collision of vehicles
In order to clarify the method of determining the value of the braking distance to determine the maximum deceleration of the vehicle by braking all wheels ATS when using the differential equation of motion of the car was removed dependence, which more precisely characterizes the size of tor brake way. Approximation of existing dependencies, obtained by
