Finitary approximations of free probability, involving combinatorial representation theory [PDF]
This thesis contributes to two theories which approximate free probability by finitary combinatorial structures. The first is finite free probability, which is concerned with expected characteristic polynomials of various random matrices and was ...

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Reasoning on transition from manipulative strategies to general procedures in solving counting problems [PDF]
We describe the procedures used by 11- to 12-year-old students for solving basic counting problems in order to analyse the transition from manipulative strategies involving direct counting to the use of the multiplication principle as a general procedure

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Study of Random Biased d-ary Tries Model
Tries are the most popular data structure on strings. We can construct d-ary tries by using strings over an alphabet leading to d-ary tries. Throughout the paper we assume that strings stored in trie are generated by an appropriate memory less source. In

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Basic elements and problems of probability theory [PDF]
After a brief review of ontic and epistemic descriptions, and of subjective, logical and statistical interpretations of probability, we summarize the traditional axiomatization of calculus of probability in terms of Boolean algebras and its set ...

Distance-based exponential probability models on constrained combinatorial optimization problems [PDF]
Estimation of distribution algorithms have already demonstrated their utility when solving a broad range of combinatorial problems. However, there is still room for methodological improvements when approaching constrained type problems.

Distribution of the combinatorial multisets component vectors
We explore a class of random combinatorial structures called weighted multisets. Their components are taken from an initial set satisfying general boundedness conditions posed on the number of elements with a given weight.
