We report Very Large Telescope spectroscopy of the interstellar comet 3I/Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (C/2025 N1), from r _h ≃ 4.4 to 2.85 au, using X-Shooter (300–550 nm, R ≃ 3000) and the Ultraviolet and Visual Echelle Spectrograph ...

This work studies the anisotropic behavior of circular notched tensile specimens of Ni‐base superalloy single crystals during high‐temperature tensile creep along [001], [110], and [111]. Correlative scale‐bridging imaging of specimens reveals early rupture along [110] because 1) plastic deformation proceeds faster at notch center; 2) more (brittle ...

Size-frequency distribution of boulders ≥10 m on comet 103P/Hartley 2 [PDF]
Aims. We derive the size-frequency distribution of boulders on comet 103P/Hartley 2, which are computed from the images taken by the Deep Impact/HRI-V imaging system.

Spectral Characteristics of Interstellar Object 3I/ATLAS from SOAR Observations
Interstellar objects (ISOs) provide unique insights into the building blocks and conditions of extrasolar planetary systems. The newly discovered object, 3I/ATLAS (C/2025 N1), represents the third known ISO after 1I/’Oumuamua and 2I/Borisov.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Hubble Space Telescope Observations of the Interstellar Interloper 3I/ATLAS
We present high-angular-resolution observations of the third known interstellar interloper, 3I/ATLAS, from the Hubble Space Telescope. The object is clearly active at 3.8 au preperihelion, showing dust emitted from the hot, Sun-facing side of the nucleus

Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...
