Creative Commons: a Convergence Model Between the Ideal of Commons and the Possibilities of Creation in Contemporary Times, Opposed to Copyright Impediments [PDF]
The contemporary individual finds on the Internet and especially on the Web facilitating conditions to build a basic infrastructure based on the concept of commons. He also finds favorable conditions which allow him to collaborate and share resources for

Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) are ozone-depleting substances with high radiative efficiencies; however, uncertainties in their atmospheric lifetimes hinder top-down emission monitoring efforts.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Representing the Commons in Early Modern England
Ours is an age of extremely fragmented experiences and identities – a fragmentation paralleled by a growing awareness that we all inhabit a common world.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

From information commons to learning commons and learning spaces: An evolutionary context
Since 1994, when the University of Southern California opened an Information Commons (Holmes-Wong et al., 1997), college and university libraries across the globe have adapted the generic ‘Commons’ concept to their particular circumstances.

The Road to Extinction: Commons with Capital Markets [PDF]
We study extinction in a commons problem in which agents have access to capital markets. When the commons grows more quickly than the interest rate, multiple equilibria are found for intermediate commons endowments.

Governance of carbon dioxide removal: an AI-enhanced systematic map of the scientific literature
IntroductionFor limiting global warming to well below 2°C rapid and stringent GHG emissions reductions are required. In addition, we also need to actively remove CO2 from the atmosphere via carbon dioxide removal (CDR).

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
