Uncommon pathways of immune escape attenuate HIV-1 integrase replication capacity [PDF]
An attenuation of the HIV-1 replication capacity (RC) has been observed for immune-mediated escape mutations in Gag restricted by protective HLA alleles.

In TP53mut GBM cells, reduced P53 function is associated with increased TET1 expression. Genetic or pharmacological inhibition of TET1 correlates with genome fragility, including DNA damage, cellular senescence, telomere shortening, and reactive oxygen species accumulation, which may contribute to increased efficacy of antitumor therapy.

In bladder cancer, LRG1 binds to ANXA2 to trigger mitochondrial ROS‐dependent NETosis. This pathogenic cascade actively uncouples endothelial‐mural cell interactions, driving profound vascular destabilization. Consequently, targeting the LRG1‐ANXA2 axis attenuates the neutrophil burden and induces structural vascular normalization, offering a powerful ...

Global genetic rewiring during compensatory evolution in the yeast polarity network
Functional defects resulting from deleterious mutations can often be restored during evolution by compensatory mutations. Importantly, this process can generate the genetic diversity seen in networks regulating the same biological function in different ...

International audienceIn the macromolecular world, the evolution of two building blocks (two nucleotides or two amino acids) can be interdependent in various ways, including: (i) a mutation at one site compensates a deleterious mutation at another site ...

Single‐cell mechanomics demonstrates that pharmacological perturbation changes cytoskeletal and cortical structure, suppressing cancer cell invasiveness. By integrating atomic force microscopy (AFM)‐based cortical measurements with stimulated emission depletion (STED)‐resolved adhesion and cytoskeletal organization, this approach identifies nanoscale ...

CA9‐targeted PET imaging could be a noninvasive approach to characterize clear cell renal cell carcinoma and associated tumor biology. PET uptake correlates with tumor CA9 expression and is linked to angiogenic activity, immune remodeling, and metabolic reprogramming.

Subversion of Atypical Mucin Traps by a Spore‐Coat Effector Blocks Cellular Immunity in Drosophila
While the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium robertsii can evade insect humoral immunity, its subversion of cellular defenses is still elusive. We identify Eac1 as a spore‐coat protein essential for infecting drosophilids by targeting atypical mucins (Sgf1 and Sgf2), which can entrap spores in a gel matrix and thereby facilitate hemocyte encapsulation.

Molecular Dynamic Simulation data of compensatory mutations in Bruton's Tyrosine Kinase
The research aims to find compensatory mutations that rescue Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (Btk) activity in the presence of severe X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) causing mutation in the kinase domain. The data set includes the molecular dynamic simulation
