Differential Compartmentalization of Enzymatic Reactions for Lactate Signaling Across Protocells
Two populations of protocells consisting of giant unilamellar vesicles containing active species and distinct artificial organelles are competent of collective behavior by mimicking production, intercellular communication, and detection of the bioinspired signal molecule lactate. Enzymatic cascade reactions within artificial organelles demonstrate that

Wood‐based broadband blackbody is achieved by reconfiguration of wood with lignin nanoparticles prior carbonization. Neglectable reflectivity from the visible to infrared wavelengths is obtained by combining thin nanostructures originated from the wood cell walls with long‐range microcavities in the wood lumina.

This work raises the question, why the contents of trainings in further education are often not applied in operational and everyday business. The authors do not want to leave it at that but rather focus on the transfer of what has been learned in a training and how trainings should be structured after all so that transfer can indeed take place.

Biomaterial Strategies for Targeted Intracellular Delivery to Phagocytes
Phagocytes are essential to a functional immune system, and their behavior defines disease outcomes. Engineered particles offer a strategic opportunity to target phagocytes, harnessing inflammatory modulation in disease. By tuning features like size, shape, and surface, these systems can modulate immune responses and improve targeted treatment for a ...
