The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Characterizing Ligand-Microtubule Binding by Competition Methods
The knowledge of the thermodynamics and kinetics of drug-microtubule interaction is essential to understand the structure/affinity relationship of a given ligand family. When a ligand does not show an appropriate signal change (absorbance or fluorescence) upon binding, the extensive direct characterization of its binding affinities and kinetic rate ...

Weakening the nuclear envelope: Lamin B receptor in melanoma metastasis
LBR‐driven nuclear fragility supports melanoma invasion. A: Melanocyte presents low LBR (Lamin B Receptor) levels, maintaining nuclear integrity and lamina‐chromatin tethering. B: During malignant progression, upregulation of LBR clusters at the INM (Inner Nuclear Membrane) during confined migration causes local lamina weakening and cholesterol ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Competitive binding of chlorophyllin and proflavine to DNA
The effect of chlorophyllin (Chln) on the DNA-proflavine (Pf) interactions has been investigated by spectrophotometry. The absorption spectra were recorded at different DNA-to-ligand molar ratios.

Study of competitive binding of enantiomers to protein by affinity capillary electrochromatography
Affinity capillary electrochromatography (CEC) with zonal elution method was used to probe the competitive interactions of enantiomers with protein. In this approach, a known concentration of a competing agent is continuously applied to a CEC column with

Analysis of a Mathematical Model of Real-Time Competitive Binding on a Microarray
A mathematical model of competitive binding on a microarray in real-time yields a planar system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. This model can be used to explore dimensionless formulation, linear approximation, and reduction.
