A series of pyridine‐fused hetero‐ and homodimers containing azacorrole moiety is obtained. The spectral, redox, and magnetic properties of the bis(azacorrole)s reflect an electron‐donating character of these systems and interaction between the subunits which depends on the substitution pattern.

A Generalization of Order Theoretic Properties of the Line and Topological Implications [PDF]
[Note to the reader: properties (C2) and (C2)* are under development, in order to form a generalization of (C3) and (C3)*]

Micromagnetic stimulation (µMS) offers a precise method for neural inhibition, complementing existing neuromodulation techniques. Using an implantable micro‐coil device, µMS selectively suppresses cortical activity with high spatial resolution. It effectively counteracts micro‐electrode stimulation and reduces seizure amplitude, highlighting its ...

The complement cascade is crucial for clearance and control of invading pathogens, and as such is a key target for pathogen mediated host modulation. C3 is the central molecule of the complement cascade, and plays a vital role in opsonization of bacteria

On exceptional compact homogeneous geometries of type C3 [PDF]
We provide a uniform framework to study the exceptional homogeneous compact geometries of type C3. This framework is then used to show that these are simply connected, answering a question by Kramer and Lytchak, and to calculate the full automorphism groups.

A site‐selective, efficient, and mild tyrosine conjugation via tyrosinase oxidation and nucleophilic addition, allowing for site‐selective functionalization of peptides, recombinant proteins, and IgGs. Site‐selective mono‐functionalization of IgGs at Y296 enables the construction of immunoliposomes.

Abstract This paper seeks to understand the process by which biodiversity performance indicators can be developed. In doing so, this paper examines how biodiversity performance measurements are inherently imperfect and reflects on the implications of that imperfectness.

Methylacetylene (CH3CCH) and propene (C3H6) formation in cold dense clouds: a case of dust grain chemistry [PDF]
We present an extensive review of gas phase reactions producing methylacetylene and propene showing that these relatively abundant unsaturated hydrocarbons cannot be synthesized through gas-phase reactions. We explain the formation of propene and methylacetylene through surface hydrogenation of C3 depleted onto interstellar ices, C3 being a very ...

Genomic organization of human complement component C3
Six overlapping clones, spanning the entire C3 gene and the 5' flanking region, were isolated from two genomic lambda libraries. Thirty exons, covering the complete beta chain and part of the alpha chain as far as the C3d region, were analyzed.
