Strain and Vector-Magnetic-Field Tuning of the Anomalous Phase in Sr3Ru2O7 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Symmetry is a basic paradigm for analysis of problems in solid state physics, and to controllably break point-group symmetries is a powerful probe of novel forms of order. In this work, we apply two methods, controlled lattice strain and vector magnetic field, to study a well-known correlated electron phase that appears at low temperatures in the ...

Effective CO2 Decomposition in a Nonthermal Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet System Coupled with CuO Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The plasma–catalyst system facilitates both homogeneous (plasma‐only) and heterogeneous (plasma–catalyst) CO2 decomposition. Initially, CO2 molecules are dissociated by plasma‐generated energetic species, while long‐lived reactive species further interact with the plasma‐activated CuO catalyst to enhance CO2 decomposition.
