A Federated Hierarchical DQN-Based Distributed Intelligent Anti-Jamming Method for UAVs

open access: yesSensors
In recent years, with the rapid development of intelligent communication technologies, anti-jamming techniques based on deep learning have been widely adopted in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, yielding significant improvements.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Cardiovascular Involvement in Pediatric Laminopathies. Report of Six Patients and Literature Revision

open access: yesFrontiers in Pediatrics, 2020
Lamin A/C (LMNA) encodes for two nuclear intermediate filament proteins. Mutations in LMNA cause a highly heterogeneous group of diseases predominantly leading to muscular or cardiac disease, lipodystrophy syndromes, peripheral neuropathy, and ...

Fractal and multifractal analysis of complex networks: Estonian network of payments

open access: yes, 2017
Complex networks have gained much attention from different areas of knowledge in recent years. Particularly, the structures and dynamics of such systems have attracted considerable interest.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Analysis of the Airport Network of India as a complex weighted network

open access: yes, 2007
Transportation infrastructure of a country is one of the most important indicators of its economic growth. Here we study the Airport Network of India (ANI), which represents India's domestic civil aviation infrastructure, as a complex network.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Sex differences in natural history of cardiovascular magnetic resonance‐ and biopsy‐proven lymphocytic myocarditis

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, 2022
Aims The role of sex in determining the profile and the outcomes of patients with myocarditis is largely unexplored. We evaluated the impact of sex as a modifier factor in the clinical characterization and natural history of patients with definite ...

Portraits of complex networks [PDF]

open access: yesEPL (Europhysics Letters), 2008
We propose a method for characterizing large complex networks by introducing a new matrix structure, unique for a given network, which encodes structural information; provides useful visualization, even for very large networks; and allows for rigorous statistical comparison between networks. Dynamic processes such as percolation can be visualized using
