Complex Networks Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2012
This paper proposes a conceptual approach to study conceptual links in complex systems between dynamics, structure and control. Studies cases are presented and are developed, using a java library on dynamical graphs called GraphStream.

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

D2Former: A Fully Complex Dual-Path Dual-Decoder Conformer Network using Joint Complex Masking and Complex Spectral Mapping for Monaural Speech Enhancement [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Monaural speech enhancement has been widely studied using real networks in the time-frequency (TF) domain. However, the input and the target are naturally complex-valued in the TF domain, a fully complex network is highly desirable for effectively learning the feature representation and modelling the sequence in the complex domain.

Temperature in complex networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Various statistical-mechanics approaches to complex networks have been proposed to describe expected topological properties in terms of ensemble averages.

About complexity of complex networks [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Network Science, 2019
AbstractWe derive complexity estimates for two classes of deterministic networks: the Boolean networksS(Bn,m), which compute the Boolean vector-functionsBn,m, and the classes of graphs$G(V_{P_{m,\,l}}, E)$G(VPm,l,E), with overlapping communities and high density. The latter objects are well suited for the synthesis of resilience networks.

The cytoskeletal control of B cell receptor and integrin signaling in normal B cells and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

On Quantitatively Measuring Controllability of Complex Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This letter deals with the controllability issue of complex networks. An index is chosen to quantitatively measure the extent of controllability of given network. The effect of this index is analyzed based on empirical studies on various classes of network topologies, such as random network, small-world network, and scale-free network.

Complexity and irreducibility of dynamics on networks of networks [PDF]

open access: yesChaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2018
We study numerically the dynamics of a network of all-to-all-coupled, identical sub-networks consisting of diffusively coupled, non-identical FitzHugh–Nagumo oscillators. For a large range of within- and between-network couplings, the network exhibits a variety of dynamical behaviors, previously described for single, uncoupled networks.

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.
