Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography–mass spectrometry

Nature Reviews Methods Primers
Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC×GC)–mass spectrometry (MS) is currently the most powerful tool for analysing GC-amenable compounds. The technique is complemented by using MS as a third dimension, after two stages of chromatographic separation.

Modulators for comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography

TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 2011
Abstract The analytical benefits of comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC × GC) methods have been exploited and emphasized in the past two decades. The unexpectedly complex nature of many real-world samples amenable to GC analysis has been elucidated through the enhanced resolving power of GC × GC.

Comprehensive two dimensional gas chromatography review

Journal of Separation Science, 2009
AbstractAdvances, developments and applications in 2‐D comprehensive GC (GC×GC) from 2007 through October 2008 are reviewed, with emphasis on modulation, and data handling, and applications of current relevance. Industrial perspectives as well as suggestions where further developments would be beneficial are summarized in the concluding remarks.

Parallel comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 2017
We introduce an information rich analytical approach called parallel comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (2GC×2GC). This parallel chromatography approach splits injected samples into two independent two-dimensional column ensembles and provides two GC×GC separations by using contra-directional thermal modulation.
