Architecture-based visualisation of computer based systems
© 2002 IEEE. Architecture is a central concept in the engineering of computer based systems. Given a standard architectural representation, the architecture of systems can be discussed, drawn, reasoned about and classified.

Quarc: a novel network-on-chip architecture [PDF]
This paper introduces the Quarc NoC, a novel NoC architecture inspired by the Spidergon NoC. The Quarc scheme significantly outperforms the Spidergon NoC through balancing the traffic which is the result of the modifications applied to the topology and ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Architecture-based design of computer based systems
© 2003 IEEE. This paper presents a practical approach to architecture-based design of computer based systems. The approach is discussed in relation to other existing methods of performing discovery, abstraction, refinement and evolution of systems ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Memory architectures for exaflop computing systems
Most computing systems are heavily dependent on their main memories, as their primary storage, or as an intermediate cache for slower storage systems (HDDs). The capacity of memory systems, as well as their performance, have a direct impact on overall computing capabilities of the system, and are also major contributors to its initial and operating ...

Design and implementation of the Quarc network on-chip [PDF]
Networks-on-Chip (NoC) have emerged as alternative to buses to provide a packet-switched communication medium for modular development of large Systems-on-Chip.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

BTI Aging Influence Analysis and Mitigation in Flash ADCs
Bias Temperature Instability (BTI)-induced aging of transistors is a serious concern in modern electronic circuits, yet its effects on the operation of mixed-signal circuits have not been extensively studied.
