On best conditioned matrices [PDF]
1. Main theorems. Let A be a positive definite Hermitian matrix of finite order, and let A and X be its maximal and minimal eigenvalue respectively. The condition number of A is the ratio P(A) =A/X introduced by Todd [1]. Let 'G be a class of regular linear transformations. Define ATT*A T. We say that A is best conditioned with respect to 'G if P(A T) >

Advancing Text-to-Image Generation: A Comparative Study of StyleGAN-T and Stable Diffusion 3 under Neutrosophic Sets [PDF]
Recent advances in generative models have revolutionized the technology employed for image synthesis quite significantly, and two paradigms—GANs and diffusion-based models—are leading the pack of innovation.

In this article we propose a hybrid method based on a local meshless method and the Laplace transform for approximating the solution of linear one dimensional partial differential equations in the sense of the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional derivative.

Chebfun Solutions to a Class of 1D Singular and Nonlinear Boundary Value Problems
The Chebyshev collocation method implemented in Chebfun is used in order to solve a class of second order one-dimensional singular and genuinely nonlinear boundary value problems.

Singular-Value-Decomposition-Based Matrix Surgery
This paper is motivated by the need to stabilise the impact of deep learning (DL) training for medical image analysis on the conditioning of convolution filters in relation to model overfitting and robustness.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

A Direct Eigenanalysis of Multibody System in Equilibrium
This paper presents a direct eigenanalysis procedure for multibody system in equilibrium. The first kind Lagrange’s equation of the dynamics of multibody system is a set of differential algebraic equations, and the equations can be used to solve the ...

A nonsingular real matrix is said to be perfectly conditioned if its condition number is equal to one. In this paper it is shown that a nonsingular real matrix is perfectly conditioned if and only if the matrix is a nonzero scalar multiple of a norm-preserving linear operator.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
