Antenna subtraction for gluon scattering at NNLO

open access: yes, 2010
We use the antenna subtraction method to isolate the double real radiation infrared singularities present in gluonic scattering amplitudes at next-to-next-to-leading order.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Experimental identification of topological defects in 2D colloidal glass

open access: yesNature Communications
Topological defects are singularities within a field that cannot be removed by continuous transformations. The definition of these irregularities requires an ordered reference configuration, calling into question whether they exist in disordered ...

Configuration Space Singularities of The Delta Manipulator

open access: yes, 2018
We investigate the configuration space of the Delta-Manipulator, identify 24 points in the configuration space, where the Jacobian of the Constraint Equations looses rank and show, that these are not manifold points of the Real Algebraic Set, which is defined by the Constraint Equations.

On finite configurations in the spectra of singular measures

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 2023
We establish various forms of the following certainty principle: a set $S \subset \mathbb{R}^{n}$ contains a given finite linear pattern, provided that $S$ is a support of the Fourier transform of a sufficiently singular probability measure on $\mathbb{R}^{n}$. As its main corollary, we provide new dimensional estimates for PDE- and Fourier-constrained

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Supersymmetric smooth distributions of M2-branes as AdS solitons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We show that the singularities of certain distributions of M2-branes can be removed by adding a Wilson loop around a compact direction along the brane.

Parallel Transport Frame for Fiber Shape Sensing

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
This paper reports a reconstruction method to determine a 3-D space curve from the distributed strain by using the parallel transport frame. Parallel transport frame can efficiently eliminate the singularities and discontinuous point which appear in ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
