CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

A New Hybrid Conjugate Gradient Method with Guaranteed Descent for Unconstraint Optimization

open access: yesAl-Mustansiriyah Journal of Science, 2018
The conjugate gradient method an efficient technique for solving the unconstrained optimization problem. In this paper, we propose a new hybrid nonlinear conjugate gradient methods, which have the descent at every iteration and globally convergence ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Deflated Conjugate Gradient Method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Conjugate gradient method is one of the basic iterative methods for solving systems of linear algebraic equations with a symmetric positive definite matrix. We present two different derivations of the method and show some its properties.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Performance Gains in Conjugate Gradient Computation with Linearly Connected GPU Multiprocessors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Conjugate gradient is an important iterative method used for solving least squares problems. It is compute-bound and generally involves only simple matrix computations.

Fast Methods for Solving High Accuracy Surface Modeling

open access: yesJournal of Algorithms & Computational Technology, 2013
High accuracy surface modeling (HASM) is a novel surface modeling method. The well known preconditioned conjugate gradient (PCG) method is used to solve the equations produced by HASM.
