β‐Oxidation of conjugated linoleic acid isomers and linoleic acid in rats
Lipids, 2001AbstractTo assess the oxidative metabolism of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) isomers, rats were force‐fed 1.5–2.6 MBq of [1‐14C]‐linoleic acid (9c,12c‐18∶2),‐rumenic acid (9c,11t‐18∶2), or‐10trans, 12cis‐18∶2 (10t, 12c‐18∶2), and 14CO2 production was monitored for 24 h.

Effect of Conjugated Linoleic Acid on Carcinogenesis
1994Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) refers to a mixture of positional and geometric isomers of linoleic acid. The two double bonds in CLA are primarily in positions 9 and 11, or 10 and 12, along the carbon chain, thus giving rise to the designation of a conjugated diene.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid in Cancer Therapy
Current Drug DeliveryConjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is a polyunsaturated dietary fatty acid. Probiotics can biohydrogenate CLA with multiple health benefits, especially in cancer treatment. In vitro, in vivo, and clinical studies have confirmed CLA isomers to possess anti-cancer activity.
