Traditionally viewed as an autodigestive pathway, autophagy also facilitates cellular secretion; however, the mechanisms underlying these processes remain unclear.

Conjugate DNAzymes were synthesized by solid phase fragment condensation and their biological properties were characterized. They have increased affinity to target RNA, enhanced stability against DNase 1 digestion and comparable or higher RNA cleaving activity compared with native and also phosphorothioate DNA zymes.

The ATG conjugation systems in autophagy.
Autophagosome formation and maturation involve the two ubiquitin-like systems: The ATG8 and ATG12 systems. ATG8 (LC3s and gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor-associated proteins in mammals) and ATG12 are covalently conjugated to phosphatidylethanolamine and

Types of Conjugal Networks, Conjugal Conflict and Conjugal Quality [PDF]
This article considers how various configurations of network characteristics affect conjugal quality. To investigate this issue, we use data from a large survey on conjugal functioning, based on 910 married couples with co-resident children living in Switzerland. Using reports from both male and female partners, we first empirically define six types of

Non-canonical autophagy drives alternative ATG8 conjugation to phosphatidylserine
Autophagy is a fundamental catabolic process essential for development, homeostasis and proper immune function 1. During autophagy, a cascade of ATG proteins target intracellular cargoes for lysosomal degradation and recycling 2.

Optical phase conjugation with less than a photon per degree of freedom [PDF]
We demonstrate experimentally that optical phase conjugation can be used to focus light through strongly scattering media even when far less than a photon per optical degree of freedom is detected.

Intermolecular cascaded π-conjugation channels for electron delivery powering CO2 photoreduction
Photoreduction of CO2 to fuels offers a promising strategy for managing the global carbon balance using renewable solar energy. But the decisive process of oriented photogenerated electron delivery presents a considerable challenge.
