Optimal strategies in the average consensus problem [PDF]
We prove that for a set of communicating agents to compute the average of their initial positions (average consensus problem), the optimal topology of communication is given by a de Bruijn's graph. Consensus is then reached in a finitely many steps.

Fast Consensus Via Predictive Pinning Control
By incorporating some predictive mechanism into a few pinning nodes, we show that convergence procedure to consensus can be substantially accelerated in networks of interconnected dynamic agents while physically maintaining the network topology. Such an acceleration stems from the compression mechanism of the eigenspectrum of the state matrix conferred

Results in cooperative control and implicit consensus [PDF]
This article is concerned with a class of decentralised control problems that arise in contemporary applications, where agents cooperate to control and regulate a global quantity, are limited in the manner in which they communicate with each other, and are required to reach consensus on some implicit variable (e.g. CO2 emissions).

Consensus under Misaligned Orientations [PDF]
This paper presents a consensus algorithm under misaligned orientations, which is defined as (i) misalignment to global coordinate frame of local coordinate frames, (ii) biases in control direction or sensing direction, or (iii) misaligned virtual global

Tight Bounds for Asymptotic and Approximate Consensus [PDF]
We study the performance of asymptotic and approximate consensus algorithms under harsh environmental conditions. The asymptotic consensus problem requires a set of agents to repeatedly set their outputs such that the outputs converge to a common value ...

Optimal Consensus Control Models on the Sphere
In this paper, we investigate the consensus models on the sphere with control signals, where both the first and second order systems are considered. We provide the existence of the optimal control-trajectory pair and derive the first order optimality condition taking the form of the Pontryagin Minimum Principle.

The problem of consensus control of linear discrete-time multi-agent systems (MASs) with switching topology is considered in the presence of a leader. The goal of consensus control is to bring the states of all agents to the leader state while providing

Adaptive Droop Gain-Based Event-Triggered Consensus Reactive Power Sharing in Microgrids
This paper proposes an adaptive droop gain-based consensus approach for reactive power sharing in microgrids (MGs) with the event triggered communication protocol (ETCP).
