Testing for Consistency using Artificial Regressions [PDF]

open access: yes
We consider several issues related to what Hausman (1978) called "specification tests", namely tests designed to verify the consistency of parameter estimates. We first review a number of results about these tests in linear regression models, and present

Consistency across Modalities in Self/Nonself-Segregation

open access: yes, 1982
The likelihood that an individual will perform consistently on different psychological dimensions (the “consistency across modalities” hypothesis) was examined by measuring self/nonself-segregation. 108 males aged 19 to 22 yr.

Modern macroeconomics in practice: how theory is shaping policy [PDF]

open access: yes
Theoretical advances in macroeconomics made in the last three decades have had a major influence on macroeconomic policy analysis. Moreover, over the last several decades, the United States and other countries have undertaken a variety of policy changes ...

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

Diagnostic Tests of Cross Section Independence for Nonlinear Panel Data Models [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we discuss tests for residual cross section dependence in nonlinear panel data models. The tests are based on average pair-wise residual correlation coefficients.

Patience and time consistency in collective decisions

open access: yes, 2016
International audienceWe present experimental evidence regarding individual and group decisions over time. Static and longitudinal methods are combined to test four conditions on time preferences: impatience, stationarity, age independence, and dynamic ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1429-1452, June 2026.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Semiparametric Innovation-Based Tests of Orthogonality and Causality Between Two Infinite-Order Cointegrated Ceries with Application to Canada/US Monetary Interactions [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a semiparametric approach for testing orthogonality and causality between two infinite-order cointegrated vector autoregressive IVAR(1) series. The procedures considered can be viewed as extensions of classical methods proposed by Haugh (1976,

Robust Consistency Checking for Modern Filesystems

open access: yes, 2013
A runtime file system checker protects file-system metadata integrity. It checks the consistency of file system update operations before they are committed to disk, thus preventing corrupted updates from reaching the disk. In this thesis, we describe our

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1626-1642, June 2026.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
