Finite-strain formulation and FE implementation of a constitutive model for powder compaction
A finite-strain formulation is developed, implemented and tested for a constitutive model capable of describing the transition from granular to fully dense state during cold forming of ceramic powder.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Constitutive Model for Material Comminuting at High Shear Rate [PDF]
The modeling of high velocity impact into brittle or quasibrittle solids is hampered by the unavailability of a constitutive model capturing the effects of material comminution into very fine particles.

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Further studies on identification of inelastic parameters for damaged materials [PDF]
A proper set of material parameters is one of the most important aspects for a successful simulation of metal forming processes. Several issues must be observed when choosing the constitutive relation and corresponding material parameters, amongst which ...

Bursts in a fiber bundle model with continuous damage
We study the constitutive behaviour, the damage process, and the properties of bursts in the continuous damage fiber bundle model introduced recently. Depending on its two parameters, the model provides various types of constitutive behaviours including ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Transition regime analytical solution to gas mass flow rate in a rectangular micro channel [PDF]
We present an analytical model predicting the experimentally observed gas mass flow rate in rectangular micro channels over slip and transition regimes without the use of any fitting parameter.
