NanoCMSer: a consensus molecular subtype stratification tool for fresh‐frozen and paraffin‐embedded colorectal cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Consensus molecular subtypes (CMS1‐4) have been identified to study colorectal cancer heterogeneity and serve as potential biomarkers. In this study, we developed and evaluated NanoCMSer, a NanoString‐based classifier using 55 genes, optimized for FF and FFPE to facilitate the clinical evaluation of CMS subtyping.

Addressing persistent challenges in digital image analysis of cancer tissue: resources developed from a hackathon

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Large multidimensional digital images of cancer tissue are becoming prolific, but many challenges exist to automatically extract relevant information from them using computational tools. We describe publicly available resources that have been developed jointly by expert and non‐expert computational biologists working together during a virtual hackathon

Targeted metabolomics reveals novel diagnostic biomarkers for colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed targeted metabolomic profiling to identify 302 distinct metabolites present in platelet‐rich plasma (PRP), revealing aberrant metabolic profiles amongst individuals diagnosed with colorectal cancer (CRC). Compared to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and cancer antigen 19‐9 (CA199), our metabolite panel showed improved sensitivity ...

Some investigations in design of low cost variable compression ratio two stroke petrol engine [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
Historically two stroke engine petrol engines find wide applications in construction of two wheelers worldwide, however due to stringent environmental laws enforced universally; these engines are fading in numbers. In spite of the tight norms, internationally these engines are still used in agriculture, gensets etc.

Inhibition of acyl‐CoA synthetase long‐chain isozymes decreases multiple myeloma cell proliferation and causes mitochondrial dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Triacsin C inhibition of the acyl‐CoA synthetase long chain (ACSL) family decreases multiple myeloma cell survival, proliferation, mitochondrial respiration, and membrane potential. Made with Biorender.com. Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable cancer of plasma cells with a 5‐year survival rate of 59%.

FML-based Prediction Agent and Its Application to Game of Go [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, we present a robotic prediction agent including a darkforest Go engine, a fuzzy markup language (FML) assessment engine, an FML-based decision support engine, and a robot engine for game of Go application. The knowledge base and rule base of FML assessment engine are constructed by referring the information from the darkforest Go engine ...
