Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Curing kinetics study of thermosetting resin material with ultra-low dielectric loss for advanced electronic packaging

open access: yesPolymer Testing
Ultra-low-loss resin materials are widely utilized in the novel electronic packaging. In this study, we have investigated the curing reaction kinetics of ultra-low-loss thermosetting resin systems represented by thermosetting polyphenylene oxide/small ...

Dynamic metastable polymersomes enable continuous flow manufacturing

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Abstract Polymersomes are polymeric analogues of liposomes with exceptional physical and chemical properties. Despite being dubbed as next-generation vesicles since their inception nearly three decades ago, polymersomes have yet to experience translation into the clinical or industrial settings.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Thermo-elastic topology optimization and experimental characterization for multiphase structure with high thermal stiffness invariability

open access: yesMaterials & Design
Engineering structures are expected to steadily sustain a load with minimal deformation when subjected to thermal variation. In this study, we propose a multiphase structure with high thermal stiffness invariability (HTSI) and develop a method to ...

Twin-screw granulation – a systematic analysis of process parameters

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacy, 2018
Twin-screw granulation has a significant advantage over traditional granulation methods leading to the possibility of continuous manufacturing. Although this technology has drawn attention in recent years, the general understanding of the process is ...

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...
