Implementation of Three Phase-Discontinuous Space Vector Modulation Using Single DSC-PWM Module [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications, 2013
The paper presents an implementation of a discontinuous space vector modulation of three phase inverter. The modulation is implemented in a DSC (Digital Signal Controller) using only one PWM module.

Serially Concatenated Schemes for Single Sideband Continuous Phase Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, 2023
This paper investigates serially concatenated (SC) and interleaved transmission schemes for a new class of continuous phase modulation (CPM), which has the property being a single sideband (SSB). This new CPM is commonly called Single Side-Band Frequency

Spectrally-Efficient Continuous Phase Modulations [PDF]

open access: yes2008 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2008
We investigate the spectral efficiency of continuous phase modulations (CPMs). To this end, we need an effective bandwidth definition for a CPM signal, whose power spectral density has in principle an infinite support. The definition we adopt is based on the spacing between adjacent carriers in a frequency division multiplexed CPM system.

1.8 m/0.5 s Resolution Coherent Doppler Wind Lidar Using Continuous Phase Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2022
A high-spatial-resolution coherent Doppler wind lidar (CDWL) with high modulation efficiency is reported. The pseudo-random phase coding (PRPC) links the spatial resolution to the modulation rate but suffers from the non-rectangular transition caused by ...

Phase Noise Resilient Three-Level Continuous-Phase Modulation for DFT-Spread OFDM

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, 2022
In this paper, a novel waveform with low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) and high robustness against phase noise (PN) is presented. It follows the discrete Fourier transform spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) signal model ...

Comparative analysis of switching losses and current ripple of continuous and discontinuous SVPWM strategies for unbalanced two‐phase four‐leg VSI Fed unsymmetrical two‐phase induction motor

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
This paper presents a comparative analysis of the continuous space vector pulse width modulation and the discontinuous space vector pulse width modulation in terms of the switching losses and current ripple reduction for the unbalanced two‐phase four‐leg

A simple spectra computing approach for continuous-phase phase modulation (CPPM) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Digital Modulation TechniqueRecently, we have developed a special class of continuous-phase modulation (CPM) scheme, called the continuous-phase phase modulation (CPPM); it transmits the PAM information sequences using time-limited phase shaping pulses ...

Noncoherent sequence detection of continuous phase modulations [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 1999
In this paper, noncoherent sequence detection (NSD) proposed Colavolpe and Raheli (see Proc. IEEE Int. Conf. Commun. (ICC '97), Montreal, p.21-5, 1997, IEEE Commun. Lett., 1998, and Proc. IEEE Intern. Conf. Commun. (ICC '98), Atlanta, GA, USA, p.438-43, 1998) is extended to continuous phase modulation (CPM).

A novel class of continuous-phase modulation (CPM) with separable phase property [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Continuous phase modulation (CPM) is a power and bandwidth efficient modulation yet the receiver complexity is usually too high. Therefore, receiver complexity reduction techniques become very important. Among the complexity reduction techniques, the PAM
