High-Frequency Modulation Spectroscopy with a THz Quantum-Cascade Laser [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A terahertz absorption spectrometer with a quantum-cascade laser (QCL) for high-resolution molecular spectroscopy is realized. The spectrometer is based on highfrequency (up to 50 MHz) modulation of the QCL frequency.

CPM-OFDM Performance over Underwater Acoustic Channels

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2021
We propose and evaluate the performance of a continuous phase modulation based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CPM-OFDM) transceiver for underwater acoustic communication (UAC).

Pre-Equalization for Continuous Phase Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2011
In this paper, a channel precoding technique is proposed for M-ary continuous phase modulation (CPM) for multipath downlink channels. The proposed pre-equalizer, based on the approximation of CPM signals by complex exponential functions, applies modulo-arithmetic operations to ensure the stability as in Tomlinson-Harashima method.

INCREASING THE SPECIFIC RATE OF CONTINUOUS PHASE MODULATION SIGNALS

open access: yesInformatyka, Automatyka, Pomiary w Gospodarce i Ochronie Środowiska, 2019
A method has been developed for increasing the specific rate of frequency modulation signals with a continuous phase based on the use of the properties of composite Walsh-Barker sequences.

Spatially coupled turbo-coded continuous phase modulation: asymptotic analysis and optimization

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2020
For serially or parallel concatenated communication systems, spatial coupling techniques enable to improve the threshold of these systems under iterative decoding using belief propagation (BP).

Significantly fast spinodal decomposition and inhomogeneous nanoscale martensitic transformation in Ti–Nb–O alloys [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2020
The β phase spinodal decomposition during continuous cooling in Ti‒Nb‒O alloys is investigated by the phase-field method. Addition of only a few at.%O to Ti‒23Nb (at.%) alloy remarkably increases the driving force of the β phase spinodal decomposition ...

Strong modulation instability in a silicon–organic hybrid slot waveguide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we investigate the strong modulation instability (MI) at telecommunication band in a silicon-organic hybrid slot waveguide. The organic material of polymer poly (bis para-toluene sulfonate) of 2, 4-hexadiyne 1, 6 diol (PTS), which has high

CPM-GFDM: A Novel Combination of Continuous Phase Modulation and Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing for Wireless Communication

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
In this paper, continuous phase modulation-generalized frequency division multiplexing (CPM-GFDM) is proposed. The performance of CPM-GFDM is evaluated over Gaussian and frequency selective fading channels.

A New Exact Low-Complexity MMSE Equalizer for Continuous Phase Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Communications Letters, 2018
This letter introduces a new low-complexity frequency-domain equalizer for continuous phase modulations (CPM). The derivation of a fractionally spaced representation for circular block-based CPM leads, without any approximation, to a simple yet efficient
