On the Synthesis Problem for Optimal Control Systems

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2000
Summary: A new approach to the synthesis problem of optimal controls of feedback type is considered. Algorithms of operating optimal controllers which are able to calculate values of optimal feedbacks during each particular control process in real time are described. The algorithm of operating the controller of the first type (continuous controller) is

Control circuit synthesis system

Systems and Computers in Japan, 1986
AbstractThis paper presents a systematic and automatic synthesis procedure based on the behavior specifications and the data path. The system automatically determines the control of the data path components and quasiminimizes the hardware complexity of the control circuit.

Output Controllability and System Synthesis

SIAM Journal on Control, 1971
he geometric theory of linear multivariable systems is extended by introducing the concept of a controllable output subspace. Necessary and sufficient conditions for an output subspace to be controllable are given. As an example application, controllable output subspaces are used to solve a generalized state-feedback decoupling problem.

Synthesis of Control for Nonlinear Systems

Automatic Control and Computer Sciences, 2019
The optimization problem for nonlinear autonomous systems is considered. The proposed control synthesis method is based on the interval model of a nonlinear plant. The control synthesized ensures the stability and optimality of the closed-loop system under large deviations from the steady state.

Synthesis of control systems

Electrical Engineering, 1959
FEEDBACK CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN is most effective when both steady-state and transient performance specifications can be realized. One approach, synthesis, proceeds from a set of closed-loop specifications to an appropriate open-loop system which, upon closure of the feedback path, satisfies the specifications.

Control synthesis for switched systems with control and state constraints

21st Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, 2013
In this paper, a new interpolation based control is developed for constrained control of switched linear discrete-time systems. The interpolation is done between a global gain-scheduled vertex controller and a local gain-scheduled stabilizing controller in order to achieve both the large domain of attraction and performance.

Controller Synthesis for Linear Switched Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2003
Abstract A method of designing switching controllers for a class of switched systems is presented. It is shown how the design of the switching controller can be broken down into separate design problems for the continuous and the discrete controller parts.

Synthesis of Hardware for the Control of Digital Systems

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 1982
This paper focuses on automatic synthesis of digital hardware from a behavioral description. Algorithms have been written and tested to perform automatic generation of control hardware and optimized microcode for specified data paths. The optimization algorithms produce a family of results based on cost and speed constraints supplied by the user.

Iterative Controller Synthesis for Multirobot System

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 2020
The synthesis problem is to construct a system fulfilling some specific requirements when interacting with the environment, which is one of the most crucial and challenging tasks in robotics. In comparison to the case of dealing with a single robot, synthesizing of a system constituted with multiple robots is, in general, much more involved.
