New results of convergence of Adomian’s method

Kybernetes, 1999
New results about convergence of Adomian’s method are presented. This method was developed by G. Adomian for solving non‐linear functional equations of different kinds. New conditions for obtaining convergence of the decomposition series are given.

Realignment and Converging Results

2012
By the 1980s presidential and House results were beginning to come together. The correlation between results was low during the 1960s and 1970s, but in 1980 the association began to increase, and by 2008 it was close to the level that prevailed in the early 1900s. Why and how did that happen?

Convergence results of the analytic center estimator

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2000
The paper studies convergence properties of a method, the analytic center, for bounded error parameter estimation in a regression setup. The analytic center estimator is an alternative to least squares and Chebyshev estimators. The authors show that under mild conditions this estimator converges in norm to the true parameter.

Global Convergence Results

2011
In this final chapter, we prove convergence results for general metric graphs and the associated graph-like manifolds. In particular, we show resolvent convergence, convergence of the discrete and essential spectrum and of resonances.

Convergence results for contact branching processes

Mathematical Biosciences, 2007
The link between the multi-type contact birth process and the spatial deterministic S-->I epidemic is exploited to give convergence results for a multi-type Markovian contact branching process. Let U(t) be the position of furthest spread by time t in a specific direction.

Convergence results for the MATLAB ode23 routine

BIT Numerical Mathematics, 1998
As it is well known most Runge-Kutta routines actually used in the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) allow the stepsize to change during the integration while standard existing theories assume a fixed stepsize along the integration.

General results on the convergence of stochastic algorithms

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1996
This paper is concerned with convergence analysis of general stochastic algorithms of the following form: \(\theta_n=\theta_{n-1}+ \gamma_n H(\theta_{n-1}, X_n)\), where \(\gamma_n\) is a nonnegative decreasing sequence, \(X_n\) is a ``somehow stationary'' sequence, and \(\theta_n\) is the estimates solution of \(E[H(\theta, X)]=0\).

An Alternative Interpretation of Conditional Convergence Results

Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, 1996
This paper focuses on the endogeneity of the investment-to-GDP ratio and the population growth rate, two of the most frequently used control variables in cross-country growth regressions for the convergence test. The Summers-Heston data (1988) show that the former rises and the latter declines with income growth.
