A Conceptual Control System Description of Cooperative and Automated Driving in Mixed Urban Traffic With Meaningful Human Control for Design and Evaluation

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2020
The introduction of automated vehicles means that some or all operational control over these vehicles is diverted away from a human driver to a technological system. The concept of Meaningful Human Control (MHC) was derived to address control issues over

Sulfation‐Tunable Peptide‐Glycosaminoglycan Hydrogels for Hematopoietic Stem and Progenitor Cell Expansion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Co‐assembly of rationally designed glycosaminoglycan‐binding peptides with sulfated glycosaminoglycans yields supramolecular hydrogels with tunable mechanics and matrix‐mediated cytokine retention. The glycosaminoglycans thereby act as cofactors, driving a coil‐to‐β‐sheet transition that triggers gelation.

Extending the vehicular network simulator Artery in order to generate synthetic data for collective perception [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Radio Science, 2019
A fundamental for an automated driving car is the awareness of all its surrounding road participants. Current approach to gather this awareness is to sense the environment by on-board sensors.

Impacts of Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control Links on Driving Comfort under Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2022
Although automated vehicles could release drivers from the driving task, there are still passengers sitting in the vehicle. It is required that the driving comfort of passengers should be guaranteed.
