The Late Agricultural Development of Central Arabian Oases—Archaeobotanical and Archaeozoological Studies of the al‐Kharj Oasis

open access: yesArabian Archaeology and Epigraphy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While oasis settlements emerged during the Bronze Age in Eastern and Northern Arabia, the settlement process in Central Arabia was different. Excavations at al‐Yamāma—main ancient settlement of the al‐Kharj oasis (Riyadh Province, KSA)—suggest that the latter did not emerge before the second half of the first millennium BCE.

A revised classification system of the marronoid clade of spiders (Araneae), based on dense sampling phylogenomics and comparative morphology

open access: yesCladistics, EarlyView.
Abstract The marronoid clade is a globally distributed, ecologically diverse group of spiders. It is an important faunal component in both natural and synanthropic environments, and even found in aquatic and extreme habitats such as desert salt flats. The systematics of the marronoid clade has been notoriously unstable due to the widespread character ...

Phenotypic characterization of Arabidopsis thaliana mutants that alleviate root growth defects in a vitamin B6 biosynthesis mutant

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Vitamin B6 is a critical molecule for plant metabolism and development. Rsr4‐1, a loss‐of‐function mutant in a vitamin B6 biosynthesis gene, has a distinct short root phenotype. Here we describe five novel suppressor mutants with an rsr4‐1 background that have normalized root growth and distinct phenotypic and molecular characteristics, representing a ...

Prevention and Management of Tooth Discolouration of Endodontic Origin (DEO): A State‐of‐the‐Art Review

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Tooth discolouration of endodontic origin (DEO) refers to an undesirable change in tooth colour arising from the pulp space as a result of reactive physiological processes, pathological processes or endodontic procedures and materials. As DEO frequently affects teeth in the aesthetic zone, it may substantially impair self‐esteem and
