IMPACT OF THERMAL TREATMENT ON THE ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF CORNELIAN CHERRIES EXTRACT
The present study aims to investigate the influence of the temperature on the radical scavenging capacity (measured by the 2, 2-azinobis (3-ethylbenzothiazolyne-6-sulphonic acid) diammonium salt radical cation assay) and ferric reducing antioxidant ...

Drying kinetics and sorption isotherms of cornelian cherry fruits
In this study, drying kinetics and sorption isotherms of cornelian cherry fruit are investigated under various drying air conditions. Experiments are conducted in a lab-scale convective drier under the following drying conditions: temperatures at 25, 30, 40, 50 and 60 °C; velocities at 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 m/s; relative humidity values at 25%, 40%, 55% and

Interaction of actinidia and cornelian cherry in mixed planting
Interaction between Actinidia (arguta × purpurea) and Cornus mas L. seedlings in mixed planting was studied in the vegetation test. It is determined that Cornus mas L. stimulates growth of Actinidia seedlings. The influence of the mixed planting components depends apparently on root excretions.

Selection of Native ‘Cornelian’ Cherries Grown in Turkey
This study was conducted to select promising Cornelian cherry ( Cornus masL.) genotypes in an area situated in the Black Sea of Turkey. The population which consisted of native seedling trees were examined with respect to fruit characteristics for three years. Among genotypes, six genotypes were selected for industrial and fresh consuming.

Relationships among some cornelian cherry genotypes (Cornus mas L.) based on RAPD analysis
Turkey is an important producer of cornelian cherries (Cornus mas L.), especially in northern Anatolia. Seed propagation and long-term human selection has given rise to a great diversity of trees. Twenty-six cornelian cherry genotypes (CC1-CC26) from the
