Decisions on Dual-Channel Supply Chains under Market Fluctuations and Dual-Risk Aversion

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2020
Considering market fluctuations and risk aversion, this paper analyzes the decisions of a dual-channel supply chain consisting of one manufacturer and one retailer and compares the differences in the centralized structure, manufacturer-dominated ...

Fluctuations in Availability of Arthropods Correlated with Microchiropteran and Avian Predator Activities

open access: yesKoedoe: African Protected Area Conservation and Science, 1988
Aerial arthropods were sampled by driving a standard transect along the riparian forest of the Luvuvhu River, South Africa, to assess hourly and seasonal variations in available biomass.

Femtosecond X-rays illuminate disordered states during the early stages of crystallization

open access: yesIUCrJ
Crystallization is a fundamental non-equilibrium process in materials science, yet its early transient states remain difficult to probe experimentally. Möller et al. [(2025). IUCrJ 12, 462–471] use femtosecond X-ray scattering and X-ray cross-correlation

Correlated Fluctuations in Strongly Coupled Binary Networks Beyond Equilibrium

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2016
Randomly coupled Ising spins constitute the classical model of collective phenomena in disordered systems, with applications covering glassy magnetism and frustration, combinatorial optimization, protein folding, stock market dynamics, and social ...

Cup‐Like Nuclei Is a Hallmark of DUX4/ERG Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Reveals Cytoplasmic Mitochondria Accumulation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cup‐like nuclei are a distinctive morphological feature observed in certain cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We provide evidence that they characterize DUX4/ERG ALL independently of IKZF1 deletion and reveal marked mitochondrial accumulation in this ALL subset.

Crystal structure via fluctuation scattering

open access: yesIUCrJ
Crystallography is a quintessential method for determining the atomic structure of crystals. The most common implementation of crystallography uses single crystals that must be of sufficient size, typically tens of micrometres or larger, depending on the

Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Femtosecond X-ray cross-correlation analysis of disordered crystals forming in a supercooled atomic liquid

open access: yesIUCrJ
We demonstrate an advanced scattering method for accessing the 3D reciprocal space of crystalline structures forming in a rapidly supercooled noble-gas liquid using a combination of femtosecond X-ray diffraction and X-ray cross-correlation analysis.

Guidelines for Pediatric Radiotherapy Simulation: A Report From the Children's Oncology Group Radiation Oncology Discipline

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric radiation therapy presents unique challenges compared to adult treatments, including those of immobilization, potential need for sedation, and the critical importance of accurate, reproducible positioning. Additionally, heightened attention to imaging doses is necessary to minimize long‐term toxicity in survivors.
