Enthalpy-entropy compensation analysis of the triclocarban dissolution process in some {1,4-dioxane (1)?+?water (2)} mixtures

open access: yes, 2018
The equilibrium solubility of triclocarban in {1,4-dioxane (1) + water (2)} mixtures at 293.15 K to 313.15 K was reported. Mole fraction solubility increases continuously from neat water to neat 1,4-dioxane at all temperatures.

A Review on Solubility Enhancement of Antifungal Drugs

open access: yesAl-Mustansiriyah Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Fungal infections pose a significant threat to immunocompromised individuals, yet the efficacy of antifungal therapies is often hindered by the poor aqueous solubility of many antifungal agents, particularly azoles. Enhancing solubility is essential for

A fugacity approach for generating a landfill gas trace component source term. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The quality of risk assessment output is determined by the input data used in environmental distribution, dispersion and exposure models. Whilst recent focus has been on the development of regulatory exposure assessment models for landfills, risk ...

Preferential solvation in polymer cosolvent systems: Polystyrene + cyclohexane + ethanol and poly(vinyl‐2‐pyridine) + nitromethane + carbon tetrachloride

open access: yes, 1988
Two cosolvent systems are studied by light scattering and viscosity measurements. The cosolvency mechanism is discussed in relation to the preferential adsorption, solubility parameter, and excess free energy of mixing of the two liquid components.

Solubility and thermodynamic studies of procaine hydrochloride in propylene glycol + 2-propanol binary mixtures at different temperatures

open access: yesResults in Chemistry
In the present work, the solubility of procaine-HCl was determined in propylene glycol (PG) +2-propanol mixtures at temperatures of 298.2–313.2 K. The maximum solubility of procaine-HCl in mole fraction unit was 1.84 × 10−2 in neat PG at 313.2 K and the ...
