From Marginal to Central: Marginal Zone‐like B Cells as Critical Targets in Cladribine‐Treated Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease where B cells play a central pathogenic role. Cladribine, an oral therapy, provides durable benefits by reshaping lymphocyte populations, yet its specific long‐term impact on distinct B‐cell subsets is not fully understood.

CpG-Hlp, a mycobacterial TLR9 ligand, induces NETs formation in vitro.

open access: yes, 2019
Neutrophils from LL/BL, T2R, and T2Rthal patients were isolated and stimulated or not with CpG-Hlp complex for 90 min. (A) Immunostaining of NETs components (MPO, green; histone, red; and DNA, blue). Arrows indicate the presence of NETs.

Impact of uncertainty in Utsira formation temperature and salinity on CO2 storage: A field-scale reactive transport simulation study

open access: yesCarbon Capture Science & Technology
Saline aquifers offer large storage capacities for carbon dioxide (CO2) geo-sequestration. However, key parameters such as aquifer temperature and brine salinity often remain uncertain, especially in thick formations.

Plant Virus Immunotherapy for HPV‐Associated Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Cowpea mosaic virus (CPMV) nanoparticles are safe and potent cancer immunotherapy candidates with strong immunomodulatory activity. CPMV activates innate immunity, which in turn drives adaptive immune responses and promotes durable, systemic antitumor effects.

Pressure Transient Solutions for Unbounded and Bounded Reservoirs Produced and/or Injected via Vertical Well Systems with Constant Bottomhole Pressure

open access: yesFluids
Various analytical solutions for computing production and injection-induced pressure changes in aquifers and oil reservoirs have been derived over the past century. All prior solutions assumed a constant well rate as the boundary condition.

Impact of Chitosan Incorporation on PBAT Composite: Thermal, Viscoelastic, Mechanical, and Morphological Properties

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
The abstract explains the impact of various concentrations of chitosan on PBAT composite. Indeed, the composite is produced at increasing concentrations of chitosan (10%, 20%, and 30%). The decrease in the tensile strength with increased conc. of chitosan was recorded. Furthermore, the same impact was recorded for TGA analysis.

Concurrent challenges in practical operations and modeling of geological carbon-dioxide sequestration: Review of the Gorgon project and FluidFlower benchmark study

open access: yesEnergy Strategy Reviews
This study aims to serve as a reality check on whether the present-day (1) technology readiness level, and (2) storage capacity modeling, are adequate to claim that geological carbon-dioxide sequestration (GCS) projects are on a trajectory to help save ...

A cost‐effective DNA extraction protocol for long‐read sequencing in non‐model plants

open access: yesApplications in Plant Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise Third‐generation sequencing has revolutionized genomics, enabling in‐depth analysis of genome sequence, structure, and epigenetic features. Yet, extracting high‐quality DNA for long‐read sequencing remains a bottleneck—particularly in non‐model plants, such as mature trees growing in natural environments, which often contain abundant ...
