Fatigue crack growth rate of brazed joint.

open access: yesQUARTERLY JOURNAL OF THE JAPAN WELDING SOCIETY, 1985
It is well known that fatigue crack propergates accompanying a small scale yielding at the crack tip. In filler metal between base metals of brazed joint, fatigue crack growth rate depends possively on the degree of restraint of crack tip plastic deformation by base metals, because the width of crack tip plastic deformation zone is nearly the same with

Application of local and non-local approaches to multiple fatigue crack initiation and propagation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Fatigue strength conditions presented in terms of normalized equivalent stress functionals defined on loading processes are used to unite the stages of material damage with fatigue crack initiation and multiple crack propagation under arbitrary loading ...

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Grain boundary oxidation and fatigue crack growth at elevated temperatures [PDF]

open access: yes
Fatigue crack growth rate at elevated temperatures can be accelerated by grain boundary oxidation. Grain boundary oxidation kinetics and the statistical distribution of grain boundary oxide penetration depth were studied.

A Modified Loading Method for Separating the Effect of Residual Stress on Fatigue Crack Growth Rate of Welded Joints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A novel loading method is proposed to remove the effect of residual stress on measured fatigue crack growth rate in welded joint, using which the influence of empirical crack growth rate correlation equations on the results can be avoided.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Effect of gradient of stress intensity factor at a crack tip on fatigue crack growth and correction method for the effect

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2014
The stress intensity factor can be applied as an evaluation parameter of crack growth under small-scale yielding conditions. Moreover, the stress intensity factor corrected by the plastic zone correction can potentially be used as an evaluation parameter

Fatigue Crack Growth Rate Analysis in a Titanium Alloy

open access: yesKey Engineering Materials, 2008
Reliable prediction of fatigue crack growth rates in aerospace materials and components underpins the so-called defect-tolerant approach to lifing. In this methodology the presence or appearance of defects and cracks in components is accepted. However, safe operation is guaranteed by regular inspections and health monitoring, and ensuring (by means of ...

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.
