Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

A Damage Model Reflecting the Interaction between Delamination and Intralaminar Crack for Failure Analysis of FRP Laminates

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In this paper, a progressive damage model reflecting the interaction between delamination and intralaminar crack is developed to predict fracture behaviors and the ultimate load-bearing ability of the fiber-reinforced polymer laminates subject to quasi ...

A penny-shaped crack in a filament reinforced matrix. 1: The filament model [PDF]

open access: yes
The electrostatic problem of a penny-shaped crack in an elastic matrix which reinforced by filaments or fibers perpendicular to the plane of the crack was studied.

Universal shapes formed by two interacting cracks

open access: yes, 2010
We investigate the origins of the widely-observed "en passant" crack pattern which forms through interactions between two approaching cracks. A rectangular elastic plate is notched on each long side and then subjected to quasistatic uniaxial strain from ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Analytical mechanics solution for measuring the deflection of strengthened RC beams using FRP plates

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials, 2019
Partial-interaction due to sliding between the steel bars, adhesively attached FRP plates and their bordering concrete surface, accompanied with the detachment of the FRP plates due to intermediate crack (IC) debonding make the deflection of strengthened

Penny-shaped crack in a fiber-reinforced matrix [PDF]

open access: yes
Using a slender inclusion model developed earlier, the elastostatic interaction problem between a penny-shaped crack and elastic fibers in an elastic matrix is formulated.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

THE ELASTIC INTERACTION OF LOCAL DEFECTS AT QUASIBRITTLE FRACTURE OF POLYMERS AND COMPOSITES BASED ON THEM

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2013
The article describes the mechanism of the elastic interaction of local micro-defects called holes, which are formed and accumulate in the forced elasticity area in front of the fracture crack in polymers.

Influence of load interactions on crack growth as related to state of stress and crack closure [PDF]

open access: yes
Fatigue crack propagation (FCP) after an application of a low-high loading sequence was investigated as a function of specimen thickness and crack closure.
