STUDY THE SLIDER CRANK MECHANISM

International Journal of Engineering Applied Sciences and Technology, 2022
The Slider crank mechanism is a specific barlink configuration that exhibits simultaneous rotation and rectilinear motion. This mechanism is often used to study the kinematics of machines and dynamic forces. The position, speed, acceleration and recoil generated by the sliding shaft mechanism during Where, ‘R’is the crank length L>R+E operation can ...

Balancing of Slider-Crank Mechanisms

2015
In this Chapter, the balancing methods of slider-crank mechanisms are presented. In Sect. 5.1, the generalized Lanchester balancer is proposed. It allows the balancing of primary and secondary shaking forces of off-set slider-crank mecha-nisms. Section 5.2 deals with the solution of the problem of the shaking force and shaking moment balancing of ...

Double Crank External Geneva Mechanism

Journal of Mechanical Design, 1993
A designer specified motion characteristics can be obtained using the double crank external Geneva mechanism presented in this work. This mechanism basically consists of double cranks and double curved slots that work together in generating the desired output motion.

Trammel Engine Crank Mechanism

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2000
<div class="htmlview paragraph">A new mechanism, combining the Trammel motion with a planetary gear and an epicyclical roller bearing, which will eliminate the side loads and directly transfer the inertia forces to the block, is being presented here.</div> <div class="htmlview paragraph">The obvious advantages of this Trammel engine ...

Optimizing 4-bar crank-rocker mechanism

Mechanism and Machine Theory, 1979
Abstract Closed form equations are developed for the synthesis of the 4-bar crank-rocker mechanism in which the angle between dead-centre positions of the rocker and the corresponding angle turned by the crank are prescribed. All the four different situations are considered and the minimum transmission angle, for the complete rotation of the crank ...

Energy control of slider-crank mechanism

2008 SICE Annual Conference, 2008
This paper presents an energy-based control for the rotation velocity of slider-crank mechanism. Firstly, the dynamic equation of the slider-crank mechanism is modeled by projection method. It will be shown that the angular velocity of the wheel can be controlled to the target velocity by energy control strategy.

Cranking planar mechanisms on a microcomputer

Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 1983
A new method is presented for analysing the motion of planar mechanisms with an arbitrary number of members and degrees of freedom. In the method a complex vector notation is applied to derive the kinematic equations for parameters of the whole mechanism in a matrix form. The solution of these equations enables to determine velocities and accelerations
