Slider position control for slider-crank mechanisms with Jacobian compensator

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 2019
In this work, a position control for slider-crank mechanisms without Jacobian and joint measurements is presented. A Jacobian compensator that depends on the sign of the direction of rotation of the input link and the output link is proposed. A linear sensor is mounted at the slider to measure its position.

M002 - Slider Crank (v1.0) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The considerations in this report Slider Crank are part of the example collection which can be found in http://www3.math.tu-berlin.de/multiphysics/Examples/. The aim is to investigate different formulations, i.e., regularized formulations or also index reduced formulations, of the model equations in combination with different numerical solvers with ...

Kinematics of the Generalized Slider-Crank Mechanism

open access: yes19th Design Automation Conference: Volume 1 — Mechanical System Dynamics; Concurrent and Robust Design; Design for Assembly and Manufacture; Genetic Algorithms in Design and Structural Optimization, 1993
Abstract Dual-number techniques are used to analyze the kinematics and dynamics of the slider crank mechanism generalized to consider the effects of the cylinder axis being offset and non-perpendicular to the crankshaft axis, conditions which result in reciprocating machinery such as engines and compressors from manufacturing tolerances.

Synthesis and Analysis of Slider-Crank Mechanism Motions

open access: yesVolume 2: 34th Annual Mechanisms and Robotics Conference, Parts A and B, 2010
Slider-crank mechanisms used in open/close motion from toggle positions can be driven at the crank by many devices. Usually, the slider motion is defined first to synthesize crank motion. When slider motion has acceleration continuity only, crank acceleration is discontinuous causing shock loading at high speeds.

Geometric design of slider-crank mechanisms for desirable slider positions and velocities

open access: yesForschung im Ingenieurwesen, 2011
In problems requiring uniform cutting speeds uniform flow rates etc. slider-crank mechanisms provide economical solutions. Thus, the problem of designing slider-crank mechanisms for desirable slider positions and velocities is handled within a geometric framework in this paper.
