Creep compliance behaviour of direct compression excipients
Powder Technology, 1989Abstract Creep compliance was studied during tablet compaction by treating powder deformation or flow as analogous to the rheological behaviour of semi-solids. The creep curves could be differentiated into three distinct regions, corresponding to different types of rheological behaviour: elastic, visco-elastic and plastic deformation.

Calculation of discrete relaxation modulus and creep compliance
Rheologica Acta, 1999Muntz theorems from classical approximation theory are used to lay the mathematical foundations for discrete spectral representations of the relaxation modulus and creep conpliance. Algorithms that can automatically generate nonnegative discrete relaxation and retardation strengths are formulated by using the nonnegative least square method.

Creep compliance studies of egg yolk lipoprotein interfacial films
Biorheology, 1976Studies of creep compliance behavior of aqueous solutions of egg yolk lipoproteins indicate formation of viscoelastic films at n-heptane and n-hexane interfaces. Rheological parameters are reported. At other interfaces: water–air, water–cyclohexane, water–paraffin oil—the films were purely viscous.

Analytical Compliance model for Flexure Hinge Considering Creep
2020 5th International Conference on Mechanical, Control and Computer Engineering (ICMCCE), 2020This paper deals with a study to determine a compliance model of flexure hinge considering creep subjected to pure applied moment. The work can be considered an extension of previous investigations on typical notched flexure hinge. Analytical equations are derived using Castigliano's second theorem and creep power-law that the creep constitutive ...

Modification of shear modulus and creep compliance of fibrin clots by fibronectin
Biophysical Chemistry, 1981Shear moduli and creep compliances have been measured for four types of clots of human fibrin (about 7 mg/ml) clotted with and without human plasma fibronectin (usually 1.2 mg/ml). Fine clots (with little lateral aggregation of the fibrin protofibrils) were found at pH 8.5, ionic strength 0.45; coarse clots (with substantial lateral aggregation) were ...

Analysis of creep compliance curves of food gels
1988The rheological properties of some simple food gels from fababean protein, gelatine and agar-agar have been studied as a function of concentration. Rheological parameters were derived from the creep compliance curve. The gels could be explained according to the six element Burger model.

Evaluation of creep compliances of unidirectional fibre-reinforced composites
Composites Science and Technology, 1994Abstract In this paper, a method is proposed for the determination of the viscoelastic behaviour of unidirectional fibre-reinforced composites. The method is based on the model of Laws and McLaughlin. The interface problem is taken into account by using anisotropic elastic coefficients for the fibre. The non-linearity of the matrix is also considered

There are to date very few experiments reporting the measurement of creep compliance or of creep curves with AFM, since most measurements in this field are performed with instrumented nanoindenters and experimental protocols for the acquisition of creep curves are usually not implemented in commercial microscopes.

Contact creep compliance of viscoelastic materials via nanoindentation
Journal of Materials Research, 2006The creep compliance of viscoelastic materials such as synthetic polymers is an established metric of the rate at which strain increases for a constant applied stress and can, in principle, be implemented at the nanoscale to compare quantitatively bulk or thin film polymers of different structures or processing histories. Here, we outline the evolution
